Privacy Policy — How Ketora Handles Your Data

What we collect

Account data: email address and display name, via Firebase Authentication (email and password, or Google sign-in).
Profile and health data you enter: sex, age, height, weight, goals, food choices, meal logs, ketone, glucose and weight readings, and any blood test results (cholesterol panel) you choose to record.
Payment data: handled by our payment provider Polar (merchant of record). We receive your subscription status, not your card details.
No analytics or advertising trackers. We do not use tracking cookies. Your browser keeps an offline copy of your app data (IndexedDB) and a few preferences (localStorage, e.g. theme, and your last macro-calculator inputs so the app can pre-fill them) so the app works offline; clearing site data removes them.
Server logs: Cloudflare processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site.

Why

To calculate your plan, store your history, generate menus, and manage your subscription. We do not sell personal data.

AI processing

When you generate a menu, swap a meal, run a check-up or ask the coach a question, the relevant profile details, health answers you chose to give, food choices, recent logs and readings — not your email address — are sent to our AI provider, DeepSeek, to produce the response. Conversations you have with the coach are saved to your account so you can see your history; you can delete any or all of them on the Coach page.

Pro waitlist

If you tap "Notify me when Pro launches", we store your account email to send you one launch email. Deleting your account removes it.

Packaged-food lookups

When you search for a packaged food or scan a barcode, the search text or barcode is sent from our server to Open Food Facts. No account information is included.

Storage

Your app data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase). Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication. The website and API run on Cloudflare. Subscription status is stored by our server, keyed to your account ID, so paid features work.

Your rights

You can export your data as CSV from Settings, and delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete account. For other requests, email hello@ketora.site.
