Keto Burger Bowl
Everything in a cheeseburger except the bun: seasoned beef, cheddar, crisp lettuce, tomato and avocado — about 6 g net carbs per bowl.
Serves 2 · Prep 10 min · Cook 10 min
Ingredients
- 300 g ground beef (80/20)
- 50 g cheddar, grated
- 1 small romaine lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- ½ large avocado, sliced
- a few pickle or cucumber slices
- a few slices red onion
- Salt, pepper, smoked paprika, mustard
Method
- Brown the beef in a hot dry pan, breaking it up, for 6–8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and paprika.
- Turn off the heat and stir in half the cheddar so it melts into the beef.
- Fill bowls with lettuce, then add the beef, tomato, avocado, cucumber, onion and remaining cheese.
- Finish with mustard. Check any burger sauce label — most contain sugar.
Tip. The beef renders its own fat, so no oil is needed — pour off excess if you want a leaner bowl.
